Absolute Poker STILL accepting US players

Apparently Absolute Poker and UB Poker’s withdrawal from the US market was simply a ruse, as a number of poker players have stated that the site is still accepting US players, BUT not letting these players deposit or withdraw! Despite issuing a statement that Absolute Poker wants to work with the US Attorney’s Office, Absolute Poker is seemingly thumbing its nose at the DOJ and FBI as they continue to allow US poker players to take part in real-money online poker games at the two sites: Absolute Poker and UB Poker.

According to CompatiblePoker.com, “while cash outs, deposits or funds transfers are currently not permitted, US players are still allowed to play for real money on the CEREUS Network.” Many players from the United States have also stated that despite all of the warnings and messages to the contrary they are still able to play on the Cereus Poker Network.

Unfortunately, despite still accepting US Poker players, the Cereus Poker Network has shed 2/3 of their overall traffic, and many players are fearful that this is merely a cash-grab by the network before they are forced to shut down. Because of this it’s likely that the only players on the site are players whose money is locked up on either AP or UB Poker, and they see it as just freerolling, since most people are under the impression they will never see that money again.
