You will find that the lower limit tables are typically full, but if you are looking to join a higher limit table, there are usually enough players to initiate a decent game and pretty consistent traffic. In addition, 7 Card Stud tournaments are also well trafficked at PokerStars, as are 7 Card Stud Hi/Lo tournaments. 7 Card Stud Hi/Lo games begin at $0.04/$0.08, as well, but only go up to $10/$20. Another great site to play 7 Card Stud is Full Tilt Poker. The traffic is great here for these types of games, though it’s not quite as high as PokerStars. Both the 7 Card Stud and 7 Card Stud Hi/Lo tables are active at Full Tilt, and there are typically anywhere between 10 and 20 cash tables running. There’s a wide variety of limits available ranging from micro-limits to $1/$2 and $3/$6 all the way up to $50/$100. If you have a really fat bankroll, then you can always go up against Phil Ivey any time at the $2000/$4000 tables, where a spot is always reserved for him.

Absolute Poker's Stud Games

And finally, we recommend Absolute Poker for 7 card Stud action. This site doesn’t have as good of a selection of 7 Card Stud games as PokerStars and FullTilt, but it does have a decent amount of rookie stud poker players, who aren’t the best skilled players, which means if you can play, you can make some money. If you are looking for some serious competition, though, you might have to wait a few minutes for a decent table. The best action is at the $10/$20 limits, if you can get enough people to play. The highest traffic is at the $0.25/$0.50 levels and $1/$2 levels. Again, the action isn’t all that healthy here, but it does exist, and for the most part it’s loose. This alone makes it one of the best poker sites for stud poker.
