The final round of this summer’s Grosvenor UK Poker Tour Summer Series has finally ended, and the results are in following play at Sheffield’s G Casino. The beginning of the tournament suffered from a severe player volume deficit, attracting only 117 individuals to compete in the three initial events. As the tournament continued, organizers’ fears were quelled as more arrived. 226 players registered in total over the course of the four day event, generating a tidy prize pool of just under 44,000 pounds.

Michael Arnot was declared the Main Event champion, and took home 7,820 pounds for his efforts over the course of two days. Although Arnot was the ultimate winner, an enormous honorable mention is owed to Garry Hallows, who finished in third place in two separate events and second place in another event, the 150-pound buy-in NLHE Freezeout. In total, Hallows earned 6,630 pounds for his wins.

Matthew Christopher had a successful weekend as well, taking first place in the opening event and second place in the last event to win a total of 4,640 pounds.

Meanwhile, another GUKPT Summer Series played out at Southamptom’s Grosvenor Casino. 201 players signed up for four different events, creating a prize pool of 52,625 pounds. Christopher Webber was named the weekend’s champion after he won the 500-pound buy-in Main Event, taking home 10,390 pounds for his efforts.

Guijar Nitoo and Steve Vigor had excellent weekends as well. Vigor dominated the 200-pound buy-in NLHE Freezeout, giving him the top spot on the GUKPT Points Leaderboard. Nitoo took first place in the 100-pound buy-in Bounty Booster event, and second place in the NLHE Freezeout. Another honorable mention goes to Elzbieta Blessek-Piechota, who earned 7,480 pounds for a second place finish in the Main Event.
