Party Poker Introduces Rake-Free Tournaments

Beginning on July 4th and lasting for a limited time only, Party Poker is offering online poker tournaments with absolutely no rake. The promotion, which applies to both low-stakes and high-stakes multi-table tournaments, effectively converts the entire Party Poker tournament schedule into freerolls.
Low-stakes tournaments with buy-ins under $3 will have their tournament fees and prize pool money combines. For example, a tournament that was previously listed as $2.50 + $0.25 will now be listed as $2.75 + $0.00. Tournament with buy-ins over $6 will simply have their tournament fees waived. For example, a $40 + $4 tournament now becomes $40 + $0.
This same concept will apply to the most lucrative tournaments at Party Poker, including $200,000 Guaranteed and the Summer Million. As its title suggests, the Summer Million will offer a guaranteed prize pool of $1 million. Both offline and online tournament qualifiers leading to these major tournaments and others have also had their fees eliminated.
Party Poker recently announced a slew of other promotions as well, including 100% reload bonuses, Summer Million freeroll satellites occurring every day and a brand new $100k freeroll set to take place on August 7th, the same day as the Summer Million itself.
Party Poker is even offering free VIP-status matching to those who migrate their bankroll over from another site. In order to take advantage of this promotion, you’ll need to open a Party Poker account and collect at least 1,000 VIP points within your first 15 days of play.
This particular promotion could be a huge boon to those looking to rediscover the site that launched so many online poker careers despite falling out of favor after the 2006 UIGEA. With Full Tilt Poker in legal limbo, there’s little doubt that at least a few former Full Tilt members will be bringing their VIP status levels back to Party Poker.
