Barring a repeat winner, when Season 7 of the PokerStars European Poker Tour concludes there will be a total of 70 Champions and PokerStars wants to reward these past winners with a freeroll tournament that will be part of the EPT Grand Finale in Madrid Spain in May. The tournament will be open to all past EPT Main Event Champions, with four different EPT passports for Season 8 up for grabs; one each worth €50,000, €25,000, €15,000, and €10,000.

Although very few details have emerged regarding the structure, according to BLUFF Magazine the tournament will take place after the EPT Grand Finale concludes, will be televised at some point on TV, and will be available to watch live on PokerStars.tv.

The European Poker Tour has been one of the most successful poker tours in poker history, and unlike its competitors has managed to continue to grow year after year, even after the novelty has worn. The PokerStars EPT, now in its 7th Season, is stronger than ever, and is still breaking attendance records at the vast majority of stops.

In addition to the EPT PokerStars has launched a second European tournament series, the Eureka Poker Tour, which focuses on smaller markets, and features smaller buy-in tournaments.
